Hugo Chavez knows he needs to kiss Obama’s ass and any other ass Obama directs him to kiss. There is one Super Power on his doorstep and that’s US. The fact is I will likely never vote for Obama and will poke fun, and criticize him at every opportunity one fact will not change. He is my president while he holds that office and I am going to take his side when it comes to dealing with the third world leftists at large. Chavez came to power in 1998 but didn’t grab US or world headlines until his “Bush is Satan” rhetoric. JSP believes this was one more small breeze that helped fill Obama’s sails in the election of 2008. To call Venezuela a banana republic does a disservice to bananas. As well as to the clothing store of the same name. Chavez bears a striking resemblance to Guardian Angel Curtis Sliwa. Perhaps this is due to each of them having a fondness for red berets. Chavez has taken the well worn path of so many other dictators. Yes, he is elected and yes, he gets first count of all the ballot boxes. Chavez went from the “people’s champion” to dictator by destroying his opponents politically and deleting the offices they held. Because there is oil wealth at hand he is able to do it with more discretion than was done by his brutal hero Cuban Fidel Castro. So now he wants to play nice with Obama. Pucker up.
